Lia Davis Munro is an indie author who writes about courageous women who take charge of their lives and become their own heroes. She holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Masters of Arts in Drama from York University with a focus on the theatre of the women’s suffrage movement. During her time at York, Lia was published in the Canadian Theatre Review and Excalibur: York University Newspaper. Lia has worked as a dramaturge, director, and producer in the independent theatre and dance scene in Toronto since 2012. Emmy Nation: Undercover Suffragette is her debut novel. Lia is currently working on publishing the second book in this series while developing Cozy Writer’s Room, a series of printables to help writers find time to connect to their writing practice. Lia was honoured to be a panelist for East End Arts Weekend of Words 2017 and has loved volunteering in the Leading to Reading program with Toronto Public Library and Hamilton's GritLit Festival. Lia currently lives in Hamilton, Ontario.
